Day-by-day program
Day 1 — Baga Gazriin Chuluu: granite formations of the Middle Gobi
Leave Ulaanbaatar behind and journey south into the vast landscapes of the Gobi. Your first destination is Baga Gazriin Chuluu, an impressive granite massif rising unexpectedly from the surrounding steppe. Explore the rocky formations on foot, discover hidden valleys and ancient rock carvings, and enjoy your first evening beneath the expansive desert sky.

Day 2 — Tsagaan Suvarga: Mongolia's White Stupa
Continue south to Tsagaan Suvarga, one of Mongolia's most spectacular geological formations. Towering limestone cliffs, shaped over millions of years by wind and water, resemble the ruins of an ancient city. Walk along the colourful escarpment and admire the constantly changing colours as the afternoon light transforms the landscape.

Day 3 — Yolyn Am: an ice-filled canyon in the desert
Travel into Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park and explore the dramatic canyon of Yolyn Am, also known as Vulture Valley. Sheltered by towering rock walls, the gorge creates its own cool microclimate and has historically preserved ice well into the summer months. Hike through the narrow valley while keeping an eye out for ibex, lammergeiers, and other wildlife.

Day 4 — Khongor Sand Dunes: the Singing Dunes
Drive across the open desert to the magnificent Khongor Sand Dunes, the largest and most famous dunes in Mongolia. Rising up to 300 metres above the surrounding plain, these golden dunes stretch for more than 100 kilometres. Enjoy a memorable camel ride with local herders before climbing the dunes for panoramic views and, if conditions are right, listening to the mysterious humming sound that gives them the nickname "The Singing Dunes."

Day 5 — A day among the dunes
Spend a full day exploring the Khongor area at a relaxed pace. Walk across the ever-changing sandscape, visit a nomadic camel-herding family, or simply enjoy the silence and vastness of one of the Gobi's most iconic landscapes. Sunset from the crest of the dunes is an unforgettable experience.

Day 6 — Bayanzag: the Flaming Cliffs
Continue to the world-famous Bayanzag, better known as the Flaming Cliffs. This striking red sandstone landscape became internationally famous after the discovery of the world's first dinosaur eggs in the 1920s. Explore the fossil-rich cliffs, hike through the colourful canyons, and learn about the extraordinary prehistoric history of the Gobi Desert.

Day 7 — Return through the Gobi landscapes
